There is an enormous amount of money managament materials for grades 4th - 12th, but very few for preschool-3rd grade. The Money Mammals DVD is a wonderful resource for teachers, parents and those that teach and promote financial knowledge to our youth. It is never too early to start. Making sure that the content is safe, clean, and age appropriate is a concern for everyone. This DVD combines music, humor, the concepts of saving, sharing and spending in a way that will keep the kids enthusiastic about learning. Credit unions, community leaders and parents need to take advantage of this opportunity to reach out to our youth at a very early age. We are giving all of our elementary schools the DVD's so that the teachers can benefit from them. This is an awesome way to reach out to our very youngest consumers. John Lanza and The Money Mammals have hit the mark with this one!

If your kids enjoy Sesame Street and the Muppets, they will be sure to fall in love with the Money Mammals. The dialogue is cute and jokey (“Sweet swine Joe” is a favorite utterance of Piggs), the production values are superb—the songs feature MTV-like special effects—but most importantly of all, the educational message is right on the mark but disguised as pure entertainment for kids. Importantly, part of the DVD lets parents know how they can continue the dialogue with their children. After viewing The Money Mammals, everyone will walk away wiser about money.

The Money Mammals DVD is a great way to start young children on the path to a successful financial future. Through the use of puppets, fun and catchy music, and an engaging story, simple and easy to learn savings lessons come alive for children. We're always looking for videos with a strong message of saving and personal financial responsibility that are age appropriate - and this fits the bill very well. We're looking forward to suggesting this video to both consumers and bankers who teach preschool age children.

My son loves that video sooooo much, that he keeps singing the songs around the house. He was at school yesterday and swallowed a penny. He had to go to the hospital for X-rays, but he's fine now. When I asked him why he swallowed the penny, he said he didn't have his Joe Money bank at school and was saving it in his mouth 'til he got home! I guess the idea of saving was so important to him he was holding onto that penny all day. Unfortunately, he can't earn interest in his stomach!!
Thanks again for making such a great tool to educate our kids!!

(NOTE: Joe the Monkey says “Please don't eat money. It's much better to put it in Piggs' back or your own bank.”)
The way the video handles the concept of choice has helped my 5-year-old
Stephen, even outside of financial issues. During dinner last night, he
said, “I'm going to make a choice to eat the rest of my dinner, so I can
have dessert... just like the Money Mammals do!” He's also much more
conscious of saving, cost, and spending. My 11-month old dances and claps
through the whole video as well! Thank you Money Mammals!

What a great idea! Money Mammals fills a gaping void in childrens' educational videos by teaching the value of money. In today's society where debt is an epidemic, the Money Mammal message to children to “share, save, and spend smart too,” may just be a catalyst for change. What makes Money Mammals extra special are the songs that are fun, catchy, and enjoyable to both children and adults. When the songs come on, my 7 month old baby coos and claps and my 3 year old sings, dances, and plays his toy guitar. Thank you for this great product. I can't wait for you to produce more!

Two thumbs up!
My daughter's reaction was "Is this the end?"
Me: "Yes"
My daughter: "Darn!"
Me: "Did you like it?"
My daughter: "I want to watch it again, right now."

The family LOVES the dvd. The little ones dance to the music. Teagan's really into the story. I can't wait to make up his bank. I'm definitely spreading the word. And your dvd will become my new signature birthday gift!
