Is there a case for tying chores to allowance? (“3 Ideas to Share & Save” 002)

3 Ideas to Share and Save

Hello!

I don’t know about you, but I’m suffering slightly from email fatigue. Like visual media and the glut of great content available to watch at the touch of a button, I’m feeling that we might be in the Golden Age of email. There’s so much good stuff. It’s important to prioritize.

So at the risk of overwhelming you further, among my current email subscription favorites are 3-2-1, Briefingday and Recomendo.

As you can tell, my bias is towards short, high-value emails. I hope you can fit me into your trusted list of useful content.

And here are this issue’s 3 Ideas to Share and Save

Is there a case for tying chores to allowance? In my latest podcast, personal finance journalist Cameron Huddleston makes a good argument for doing so.

Cameron offers lots of useful advice in our wide-ranging discussion. We chat about the importance of conversation, why money is a taboo topic and the need to just be nice to each other.

Your dreams have been answered! You asked for it (Well, a few of you did at least!), and we delivered — The Art of Allowance is now available on K-I-N-D-L-E!

And if you’re not already excited (I can tell you are.), then I’m offering it free through the end of the day.

Weren’t you just asking yourself, “What’s my next read?”

I recently took a terrific online course, Write of Passage, with David Perell because, well, you can never write enough.

Here’s my essay on education I wrote during the cohort and published on my blog.

I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if I’m delivering on my promise. If not, then you can always unsubscribe below.

Stay safe. Stay healthy.
